Thomas Delaney, the Denmark midfielder, stressed that they are fired up to match past generations, namely the Danish side that impressed at the 1986 FIFA World Cup and the EURO 1992 winning team.
“My generation grew up admiring the history of Denmark’s ‘86 and ‘92 sides," Delaney said.
"And we are overjoyed that we have been able to give our fans a gift. Being in the semi-finals means we are in great company now.
"We have a goal and we don’t care who we play next, we’re going to Wembley and what an amazing journey it’s been.”
The last meeting between England and Denmark was on 14 October 2020.
Denmark claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over England in a UEFA Nations League match that was played at the Wembley Stadium.
